Prompt Helper ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have when you use the Prompt Helper Chrome extension and website (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We use this to identify your account and link your subscription.
• Usage data: We track how many prompt enhancements you use per day to enforce free plan limits.
• Subscription status: We store whether your account is on the Free or Pro plan in order to grant the appropriate level of access.
• Custom snippets: Any custom prompt text you save using the "My Snippet" feature is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not read, store, or transmit the content of your AI conversations.
• We do not collect the text of the prompts you write or improve.
• We do not sell your personal data to any third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate you via Google Sign-In
• Track your daily usage to apply the correct plan limits
• Link your Stripe payment to your account when you upgrade to Pro
• Provide customer support when you contact us

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase: Used for authentication (Google Sign-In) and storing your account and usage data. Firebase is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe: Used to process Pro plan payments. Stripe handles all payment data and is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. We never store your credit card information.

5. Permissions Used by the Extension

The Prompt Helper Chrome extension requests the following permissions:

• Host permissions (chat.openai.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com): Required to inject the Prompt Helper toolbar into supported AI platforms so you can enhance prompts directly within those pages.
• Identity: Used to enable Google Sign-In within the extension popup.
• Storage: Used to save your custom snippet and daily usage count locally in your browser.
• Tabs: Used to detect when you are on a supported AI platform so the extension can activate on the correct page.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data (name, email, usage count, subscription status) for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, please contact us at zhur02@gmail.com and we will remove it within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Prompt Helper is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
